John E. Barry
As the founder of StarEvents, John is the team leader of our team and since inception of the company has attended every event produced by StarEvents.
He ensures the success and seamless operation of our team, client satisfaction, and professional execution of each and every event. John is a “hands-on” manager for the crew and sets the bar for all events. This approach provides the best chance of success due to his personal experience.
John started StarEvents in 1996 and continues to define the event industry.
Michelle’s expertise includes event production and management, logistical support, marketing and public relations. Michelle develops and maintains solid relationships with our clients, colleagues and vendors.
A visionary leader with a strong drive to achieve allows her to relate to our clients’ needs, and have a greater understanding of their vision, goals, and objective for their event.
Michelle is an expert in marketing and sales and helps to raise the bar each year for all of our events.
VP of Operations
Jessica is one of the best event producers in our industry. She is well versed in every nuance of production and management.
Jessica is a versatile leader who truly understand our clients’ needs, making her a well-versed and resourceful onsite manager. She is an expert at creating and maintaining budgets, as well as thoroughly planning all aspects of each event.
Jessica has a multi-faced and impactful role at StarEvents. If you could choose your ‘A-Team’, she’d be the first one selected.
Dayna is our lead talent buyer and manages all of the processes involved in securing the best entertainment for each of our events and festivals. She has been in the industry for most of her career and knows how to curate any type of event.
Nobody has the breathe or depth in the entertainment field like Dayna. She is one of the best at scouting the perfect talent and then negotiating the best deal for both client and artist.
Dayna’s original passion is singing and performing and it comes across in all that she does at StarEvents.
With previous experience planning private and corporate events, Emily is a key player in onsite management and design production for StarEvents.
Her passion for music and people drive her to involve herself with anything from managing the summer interns to working with our talent agency, Chicago Entertainment Agency.
From black tie galas to fundraisers to festivals, Taylor is passionate about creating unique experiences for guests and attendees. She focuses on the importance of relationship building, event logistics, and efficient project management.
As a new member of the Star Events team, she’s excited to experience her first summer season of “fest, rest and repeat.”
Susan’s expertise in travel operations and management compliments her administrative position here at StarEvents.
She a the key component in processing our permits around the city and maintaining strong relationships with all of our vendors.
Coming from a background of 10 years in the corporate hospitality accounting world, Jessica Lee is our lead finance personnel. Often wearing multiple hats, she handles AP, AR, budget planning and financial statements for StarEvents.
She is very knowledgable in the accounting field as well as event execution of StarEvents. She is a vital component to help StarEvents always stay on top of its industry.
