September 24 – 26, 2010 Join us for beer, brats, music and fun at St. Alphonsus’ Annual Oktoberfest, one of the original premier festivals in Chicago!
Located in the Lakeview neighborhood, St. Alphonsus was founded by German immigrants in 1882, and continues to recognize its German roots by celebrating an authentic Oktoberfest every September.
Keeping with tradition, festival-goers can expect to experience homemade bratwurst, the “oom-pah” of German bands, the music of top area headliner bands, activities for kids (“Kinderfest”), and of course lots of great beer!
Our festival will be held outdoors in a beer garden fashion under a ‘big-top’ tent. Thousands of Chicagoans of all ages attend and raise their stein to toast this favorite German past time.
Don’t miss this traditional celebration and be sure to bring your appetite. We promise to quench your thirst and provide you with hours of interactive entertainment in the true spirit of a German Oktoberfest. Admission of $5 benefit St. Alphonsus church.
The hours of this festival are Friday, September 24th from 5 pm to 10 pm, Saturday, September 25th from 11 am to 10 pm, and Sunday, September 26th from noon to 6:30 pm. For more information call StarEvents at (773)-665-4682.

Copper Box, a four member Polka-Rockin’ group from Oshkosh, WI is interested in performing at the Oktoberfest on Friday September 24th. Copper Box has performed and will be performing at many Oktoberfests celebrations, such as Milwaukee Germanfest, Soulard Oktoberfest in St. Louis, Appleton Octoberfest, and Snowbird Oktoberfest in Utah to name a few bigger ones.
