An apple a day is said to keep the doctor away however at Apple Festival you will be likely to have enough apples to keep the doctor away for a very long time! Any way you slice it, visitors can expect to have bushels of fun at the Long Grove Apple Fest and take in the fall colors on September 26, 27, & 28.
Name your favorite type of drink or dish that has apple as an ingredient and I bet we have it and even more! From Long Grove’s famous brown bag apple pies and apple cider donuts to hot apple cider, caramel apple lattes, and more we’ve got your apple cravings covered.
Once visitors get their apple fix they can enjoy outdoor ambiance and the many activities staged throughout the historic village. Great entertainment will be featured in Fountain Square, Towner Green, Covered Bridge and at the Gazebo Stage near Beans and Leaves. No matter your age this three-day weekend will have something to offer for all apple lovers. Pony rides, carnival rides and much more will provide fun for the kids!
And who could forget about the trendy shops, boutiques, galleries, and restaurants that serve as a main attraction in addition to the beautiful old-world setting of Long Grove. Historic buildings, cobblestone walkways, colorful gardens, and the town’s landmark bridge make up this charming town.
Admission to Long Grove Apple Festival is $5 per adult and free for children under 12, with all proceeds benefiting the Long Grove Business and Community Partners and to support programming and events in Long Grove for the remainder of 2014.
