Back by popular demand, Chicago Summerfest returns to the charming streets of Lincoln Park!
The second you step foot into Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood, located just off of Lake Michigan, you will be joined by thousands of festival goers who are seeking a picturesque festival experience. Nestled in the heart of the city, Chicago Summerfest has the best of the best when it comes to local food, merchants, and patrons.
Headlined by 20 hours of LIVE music and surrounded by attractions like the Lincoln Park Zoo, Chicago History Museum, Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum and the Alfred Caldwell Lily Pool sets the scene for this venue. Festival-goers can visit local artisan booths, featuring a wide array of mixed media and jewelry.
After some much needed shopping feel free to throw down a blanket and grab a cold beer in the adjacent park that is used as a “Ravinia” style oasis – it’s basically a scene out of a movie. Oh and wait, did we mention there’s barbecue, too?! Live music, including what TimeOut Chicago has deemed “performances by some of Chicago’s most-loved cover bands,” shopping, scenic surroundings, cold beer and barbecue – no wonder this festival is back due to high demand and truly lives up to its name. Summerfest is the perfect definition of all that Chicago summer’s have to offer.
Entry to the festival is a $5 suggested donation benefiting the Mid-North Association, a non-profit volunteer organization established by residents in 1950 to protect and preserve the historical character and charm of the architecturally-rich Lincoln Park community.
