Calling all foodies!

Thank you for your interest in our 2016 festival season! We are excited about the opportunity of working together this year. We know you’ll find our schedule of events as promising as we do.

Below you will find our general applications to be an Artisan, Merchant, Non Profit. Food vendors will have to fill out separate applications due to the city permits attached to each application. You will find a pricing sheet for the booth space cost per event. Please fill out the complete application and email it to applications@starevents.com or mail it to our office. Make sure to fill out every section of the application correctly. If not, it will delay your application processing time. Applications without full payment will NOT be processed.

Please submit one application per event. We are making it easier to be a vendor this year by only making one application to download/print. Do not hesitate to reach out to our office with any questions. Call or email us at 773.665.4682 or info@StarEvents.com

Getting to 900 West Randolph Street

No matter what you desire the Taste of Randolph is the festival for you, giving you an opportunity to “get a taste of Restaurant Row without the reservation.”  Impressive, huh? Check out the images below for a preview of some of the wonderful restaurants you’ll get to enjoy at this year’s Taste or Randolph.

The summer’s highpoint street festival is having a homecoming to Chicago’s West Loop for its 19th year. As one of the city’s leading annual celebrations, this three-day cross-cultural celebration will mix extraordinary food, brilliant artisans and diverse musical offerings. Top restaurants will bring their bold cuisines from near and far. Don’t be surprised to see food and drink options from all your favorites.

Music fans, this event is for you too. Taste of Randolph will once again duo with Chicago’s favorite independent promoters, Silver Wrapper to bring three eclectic stages featuring unbelievable talent including Chicago’s brightest young musical acts extending from indie rock to dance music. To boost the festivities up a notch, The Mid, a venue highlighting some of the nation’s top dance acts, will host a DJ dance stage. Get ready to get down and take the party post-festival, to one of the many Official After Parties at nearby venues.

Festival entry is a suggested $10 donation to the West Loop Community Organization, where residents, visitors, and businesses have an active voice in decisions affecting the neighborhood parks, development, schools, traffic, safety and more. The organization is continuously working to ensure positive progress for the neighborhood, while offering social events and beneficial developments to improve the quality of life in the West Loop.

WXRT Road to Red Rocks Stage

Four local Chicago Bands compete to perform at Red Rocks

Sunday, June 19th

To celebrate the iconic street festival’s 20th Anniversary, Taste of Randolph has teamed up with VISIT DENVER, The Convention & Visitors Bureau in Denver, CO to construct the Denver Live on the Rocks stage – a scale replica of the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheater, itself celebrating its 75th Anniversary this year. The stage will feature national headliners who originated in Colorado as well as daily chances for festival attendees to win an all-expense paid trip to Denver, including tickets to a concert at Red Rocks.  The two wings of the scale reproduction will each stand some 70 feet long and 30 feet high, and will be hand-sculpted and hand-painted to mimic the venue’s iconic monoliths and red sandstone striations.

On Sunday, June 19, four local Chicago bands will play the WXRTRoad to Red Rocks”  show, on the Denver Live on the Rocks Stage, to win a chance to perform at the real Red Rocks Amphitheater in July. Bands include:

  • Zaramela
  • Akasha
  • Bailiff
  • The Ivorys

How does a geologic feature 300 million years old get to celebrate its 75th anniversary in 2016? The world’s only acoustically perfect, naturally occurring amphitheater is part of a local geologic feature that pushed itself up some 300 million years ago. The site’s signature features are the Ship Rock and Creation Rock monoliths. Behind the stage area is another formation that bounces sound back up into the seating area, creating Red Rocks’ famed sound.

More recently, Red Rocks has been hosting music events since the early 1900s, including opera and classical performances, until the Civilian Conservation Corps installed the first permanent seating in 1941, 75 years ago.

Over those 75 years, the 9,450-seat venue has hosted everyone from the Beatles to the Grateful Dead and has seen iconic concerts like U2’s “Under a Blood Red Sky” video and, more recently, Mumford & Sons’ “Road to Red Rocks”. The venue now hosts more than 130 shows per year along with movies, fitness classes and a famed Easter sunrise service. Check out the full Red Rocks calendar here.
