It’s reception time! Time to let loose and have some fun! We’ve compiled a list of games that are fun for all ages and are sure to entertain your guests. Check out our 5 wedding game ideas below.
Mad Libs
Mad Libs are fun to have at the tables and a great way for your guests to interact especially if they don’t know each other really well. They will also provide lots of laughs for the bride and groom when reading them after the reception. You can go online and print out one for each table or create your own.
The Kissing Game
Of course there is always the kissing game. You know, the one where you clink your glass with a fork and the newlyweds have to kiss. Well, it’s definitely an oldie but goodie, but it’s more fun to jazz it up a bit and get your guests involved. You can make your guests get up as a table and sing a song about love or get on the dance floor in front of the room and show off their dance moves. The better the performance, the longer the kiss! You could even have a mini putting green and if a guest makes it in the hole, the bride and groom have to kiss. There are a lot of different ways to make this idea fun.
I SPY
“I SPY” the groom smiling at the bride! Set up a sign at each table on a piece of paper or write out on a mini chalkboard a list of “I SPY” ideas for your guests to search for at your reception. Most guests will have a cellphone camera or an actual camera with them they can take pictures with. Guests can then take pictures of the things on your “I SPY” list and capture moments you may not get from your professional photographer. It will also be great fun to see all the candid moments of people having a blast at your wedding.
Wedding Bingo
Bingo is fun for everyone! Place customized BINGO cards that pertain to your wedding on the tables at your reception. Any guest who wins can pick from gifts you choose perhaps in lieu of a wedding favor. Great for kids and adults alike!
Giant Jenga
Jenga is fun but giant Jenga is even better! Get people to interact and try to beat the game. It’s a great way to break the ice with strangers at a wedding and what better way to have some laughs and bring families together.
