Andersonville is a vibrant community that came together at Midsommarfest to celebrate all things Andersonville. Midsommarfest consisted of live performances, delicious food and amazing attendees. In the end, it created great memories. My name is Wai Lin Ng and I am the Event Admin Intern at one of the most renown event companies in Chicago, StarEvents.
Being an intern and not an attendee has given me a new perspective on events. Seeing people laugh and enjoy themselves at festivals has brought me so much joy. The mouthwatering food and spectacular performances are what drew people to Midsommarfest. The drag queens captured the crowd’s attention and the Chicago Spirit Brigade lifted everyone’s spirits. LiveWire, an incredible band made up of kids, played rock classics such as Sweet Child O’ Mine by Guns and Roses, which was very impressive. There was a wide variety of food that was made to perfection including chicken teriyaki, burgers, and pizza. Pictures can hardly demonstrate how delicious everything was!
Andersonville Midsommarfest was a great event that received a lot of positive feedback. I am grateful to have experienced this event with StarEvents and the amazing Andersonville community. If you were unable to attend Midsommarfest, don’t worry because there are many other events this summer. Live on Lincoln(July 1-2) and Ruidofest(July 7-9) are both coming to Chicago soon. Don’t miss them and I’ll see you there!
