The Do’s and Don’ts of Surviving the Dog Days of Summer
When you think street festival, you think cold drinks, good food, music, and friends, right? But what about man’s best friend? We’re glad you asked. Many of our street festivals have vendors that are geared towards dogs and their owners, encouraging you to bring your pup along. While we love seeing your Frenchies, Golden Doodles, and Shitzus strutting their stuff on the streets, there’s a few things to keep in mind to keep your dog safe and happy.
Do bring water for your dog, festivals are long and hot and fresh water is the most important thing for your dog to have.
Do bring food for your dog along with plenty of fresh water.
Do start great conversations and life-long friendships with other dog lovers (ie. everyone).
Do keep your dog on a leash. Keep in mind that harnesses are more supportive and comfortable for little (or big) Spot, so think about buying one for festival season.
Do remember to be responsible and clean up after your dog!
Don’t forget that festivals gets louder and more crowded at night, so consider dropping Fido off at home and come back for some beers and good music.
Don’t be nervous when people love your dog as much as you do, let them take pictures and pet your furry friend!
Keep in mind our tips next time you’re at a street festival, to help make the most of the dog days of summer.
