As COVID numbers are rising, our governor issued a stay-at-home advisory. It’s important to find ways to keep yourself entertained while remaining socially-distant for the holidays. Here are a couple fun socially distant activities and ideas to keep yourself busy and entertained.
- Train for and participate in a virtual running event. Many companies are offering virtual races that you can buy a ticket for. You will usually receive a goody bag with fun treats and gear for you to use and eat for your run. Training for the run will also get you into shape, while also giving you something to do and look forward to everyday.
- Learn a new skill. Learning a new skill can be something that entertains you while also giving you challenge. Try learning how to bake, play a new instrument, or play tennis or golf.
- Try a creative hobby. Some things you could also pick up arts and crafts such as scrapbooking, making tie blankets, cross-stitching, or jewelry making. Try opening an Etsy shop to make some extra cash! You can also start a book club for you and your friends to read a new book each month, while discussing the book over Zoom or Google Hangout.
We hope we don’t have to see another lockdown, but in case we do go into one, we hope these socially distant activities and ideas will help you stay busy until we are all safe again.
