Please join us in celebrating the vibrant culture that embodies the Uptown neighborhood by participating in the first ever “Dim Sum & Then Some, Uptown 5k”! Participants will take a scenic ride through the neighborhood and lakefront while getting a taste of the Asian influence that encompasses this diverse Chicago community.
All registered participants will receive a shirt along with free goodies before and after the race. Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 overall male and female participants. After the race stick around and walk through historic Argyle Street where a number of the local businesses will be having specials for our 5k participants.
Proceeds from this race will help assist the Chinese Mutual Aid Association (CMAA), a community-based 501(c)3 social services agency, in their efforts to provide crucial assistance to low-income immigrants, refugees, and people from all socioeconomic and ethnic backgrounds.
